Discover why we turned Sossina into a superhero

WHO WAS SOSSINA HAILE?

Name: Sossina Haile
Born: 1966
Occupation: Materials Scientist
Nationality: Ethiopian

Sossina Haile was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 1966 and moved to the United States with her family during the 1970s, settling in Minnesota. From a young age, Sossina was curious about how the world worked and developed a love for science and engineering.

Sossina became the first person to create a working solid-acid fuel cell using a special material called a superprotonic compound. Her work helps us build cleaner, more efficient energy systems—offering alternatives to polluting fossil fuels. She continues to lead research on how we can use excess energy from solar and wind to create valuable products, making renewable power even more useful.

In The Remarkablz Universe, Sossina was born with the rare ability to channel energy itself. Harnessing her gift, she crafted the world’s first solid-acid fuel core, a glowing orb of pure efficiency powered by her mind and forged from superprotonic materials. With it, she can absorb wasted solar and wind energy and convert it into powerful surges to heal cities, restore balance, and fuel the future. Her suit pulses with regenerative charge, glowing brighter each time she stores more energy from the sun and sky.
